With a father in the Royal Navy, Lois spent her early childhood with her family living near a variety of Naval bases both home and abroad. Eventually the family settled in West Byfleet, Surrey.

After marrying and bringing up two children, she spent the last 20 years before her retirement in 2003 working for the Southern Regional Office of the National Trust at Polesden Lacey..

Lois and Terry live in Effingham, Surrey and enjoy travelling particularly to the Indian sub-continent and the Far East. The International Inner Wheel conference in Kota Kinabalu was an opportunity to meet members from different backgrounds and cultures and to exchange ideas to ensure Inner Wheel continues to flourish.  

In 2002 she joined the Inner Wheel Club of Bookham and Horsley and became President in 2006. Now thanks to some arm twisting she is joining the District ranks !!!
