I was born in Cardiff, one of three siblings. After studying music in Cardiff I taught for some time, before changing careers and moving to London to join the NP bank. This is where I met my future husband. When our three children were aged 6, 8 and 10 we were lucky enough (at the bank’s expense) to live in both Hong Kong and Singapore. On our return I became a Surrey County Councillor where I developed an interest in Mental Health issues. I have maintained this interest and currently serve as a Mental Health Act Manager for 2 NHS Trusts and one Private Hospital. I joined Inner Wheel in 2002 and have valued the friendship offered there. I was surprised, but honoured to be asked to be 2nd Vice-Chairman and I am very much looking forward to my time with the District team. |
