Member of Council - Gill Nightingale
I was born and brought up in Surrey, though for the last 40 years I have lived in West Sussex, firstly in Rustington and now in Midhurst, where Peter and I moved following our marriage last year. Between us we have 6 children and 12 grandchildren, ranging from 18 down to 6 years old! We enjoy walking together over the many miles of beautiful countryside that surround us here in Midhurst, as well as more adventurously, as we did in Taman Negara prior to Convention in Kota Kinabalu. I have been retired from nursing and Social Services for some years and really wonder how I ever found time to work!
I am a member of the Inner Wheel Club of Littlehampton, soon to be 85 years old (the club, not me!), and a regular visitor to Midhurst & Petworth, where I hope to transfer in July. I have previously been a member of the Executive, firstly as District Secretary, then Chairman and finally Extension Officer, roles that I have enjoyed enormously. Following a year as recycled President of Littlehampton, now as Member of Council, I provide the link between the clubs in District 25 and Association.
