Lorraine Tennett was born in 1940 in Salisbury (now Harare), Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). She did her BA degree at Cape Town University, majoring in French and English, and taught her subjects both in Zimbabwe and Malawi. Her husband Basil was a keen Rotarian and Lorraine became a member of Inner Wheel in Blantyre, Malawi in the early nineties. She transferred her membership when she moved to Haywards Heath in 2004. She has three grown up children and four grandchildren.
We continue to hold our meetings at the Birch Hotel in Haywards Heath on the first Monday of every month except the month of August. We welcome visitors and our secretary, Sue Hall, is very willing to give any information required. She may be contacted on telephone number 01444 413620.
